On this day, forty-five years ago, Bob Dylan cut his first record, San Francisco Bay Blues. That was a good day.

Comments:
Um. Bob Dylan's first album was "Bob Dylan." (March 1962.) Before that there's a bootleg, called "Minnesota Tapes. He doesn't have an album called "San Francisco Bay Blues." The only mention I can find of Dylan and SFBB is in reference to "Babe, I'm in the mood for you" (recorded for "Freewheeling," released on "Biograph") where he says this is his version/variation of SFBB by Jesse Fuller.

It was his first single. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/document?doc_id=100102&src=3NL6B2&c_lid=e1
